The Low Sodium Recipe Low Sodium Chicken Noodle BBQ Sauce 1 cup olive oil 1 onion, diced 1/2 cup celery, diced 3 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 cup minced parsley 2 teaspoons minced ginger, crushed 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 2 tablespoons chicken stock 2 tablespoons vinegar 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1/3 cup low sodium chicken stock 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt To make the sauce: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 4 minutes.
Add celery and garlic and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add parsley and ginger and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add salt and pepper to taste and bring to a simmer.
Add stock, vinegar, lemon juice, chicken stock, and chicken stock to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Remove the lid and let stand for 5 minutes.
Combine sauce ingredients in a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth.
Serve with shredded cabbage and grilled chicken, if desired.
